Les Gourmantché
Les Gourmantché (aussi appelés Gurma ou Gorma) constituent un groupe ethnique africain, qui vit dans l’actuel Burkina Faso, autour de Fada N’Gourma, mais aussi dans certaines régions du Togo, du Bénin, et dans le Sud-Ouest du Niger. Leur population actuelle est estimée à environ 1 200 000 individus.
Leur langue, le Gourmantché, appartient aux langues Kwa de la famille des langues nigéro-congolaises.
Selon la tradition, Diaba Lompo, premier roi des Gourmantché, serait descendu des nuages sur son cheval volant à Pama, dont il fit la première capitale de son royaume, et il serait peut-être le fils (ou le cousin) de Ouedraogo, fondateur de la dynastie mossi, si bien que Mossi et Gourmantché serait des cousins.
Les Gourmantché sont un peuple à forte croyance animiste, où la géomancie est très pratiquée. Il s’agit d’une technique divinatoire fondée sur l’observation des figures formées par de la terre ou des cailloux jetés au hasard sur une surface plane.

toujours mossi a la place de gourmantché. la relation entre c’est deux peuples est une histoire raconté de bouche a oreille qui na pas de trace concrète les gourmantché sont plus proche des djérma du niger que les mossi. et qui a une trace concrète que l’ont appelle le liptako gourma
